I love espresso and latte and this machine will make them great. Programming works great too. However, the car has its own problems. I didn't believe the reviews I read but bought it anyway because of the price. I had to save and take another step up. The tank is constantly leaking. It doesn't matter how well and neatly it's attached. The portafilter fills with water after the espresso is made - it never drains no matter how much I leave on it. One day I just left it and came to work and that evening I took it off when I got home and it was still full of water and dirt. It's not because I don't keep the hole clean, it's because I check it clean every day with the little tool that comes with the machine. My guess is that the steam just escapes from the bottom and blows into the water bowl instead of going through the portafilter as intended. Steam wand - I constantly clean and wipe after each use, but the milk sticks to the inside of the screw head and it needs to be taken apart and cleaned after each use - which seems a bit odd - but the milk froths great! So if I have money I buy a much better car from a reputable shop where I can return the car if it doesn't work. Then after about 4 months of use it stopped - the pump just stopped pumping water. It didn't matter that I cleaned the car and treated it like royalty, I kept wiping water out of the tank and then the noisy engine just died. And it's LOUD. Revain only give a set number of days for return, Bed Bath & Beyond give 90 - no one gives 120. It looks like a lot of money was wasted in just 120 days of use. I have repackaged this machine and will attempt to return it to Cuisinart. Based on the reviews I've read, that would be wishful thinking. Oh how I wish I could spend a few more dollars and buy another car. Almost every review I read claimed the container leaked - I expected more from Cuisinart. But I just leave it by the sink, wipe off the water every morning, and enjoy my latte—if I use it for just a few months, I'll recoup its price in money saved that I didn't spend at Starbucks. but the goal was to save money indefinitely - at least more than 4 months! Save money for a better product - even if it's nice to look at, it's made worse.
