This product was good for about 6 months

This product was good for about 6 months then it started making a grinding/humming noise when vaping react milk. Then he no longer frothed milk, just warmed it up. However, this review is more about Cuisinart as a terrible company that is very difficult to work with as a customer. We have been trying to repair this product for over two months. It took me over two weeks to get a UPS return label to send it back and many hours of waiting. The reason it took two weeks was that, for some stupid…

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • I really don't like this product everything is fine

Update: I WILL NEVER BUY ANY CUISINART PRODUCT AGAIN. Spent an hour on the phone with customer support literally ARGUING with an agent who long refused to put me through to a manager and then to a manager. After all this there is no solution. All they offered was to pick up the car and send it in for repairs. But we would have to stay at home 2-3 days and wait for pickup, which could not even be scheduled for a specific week. . (We're going on vacation in a few days.) Or—take this! -- they…

Mods => GREAT MACHINE

With some upgrades this machine competes with machines over $400. The single wall filter basket is a huge improvement over the pressure filter. If you drill out the bottom of the portafilter holder, more foam will be produced. The steam nozzle is a simple solution for those who are mechanically inclined. It is also recommended to have extra batch prints on hand. Also, clean the machine with citric acid or Keurig cleaning solution about every 6 months. I use about 1/4 cup in the tank, strain and

Eventually had to replace it after 7 YEARS

UPDATED BELOW! This is the second Cuisinart espresso machine I have owned. The first was the same model and lasted about 7 years of daily use before it started leaking. (Still works - just leaks) It makes a decent espresso and is easy to use if you know what you're doing. It also lathers well. Both times I bought this car at a discount. And for the price. It can't get any better. Oh! And I see others have complained about the foam nozzle being too high. I agree. To solve this small problem I…

I had to return in time, but. . .

I love espresso and latte and this machine will make them great. Programming works great too. However, the car has its own problems. I didn't believe the reviews I read but bought it anyway because of the price. I had to save and take another step up. The tank is constantly leaking. It doesn't matter how well and neatly it's attached. The portafilter fills with water after the espresso is made - it never drains no matter how much I leave on it. One day I just left it and came to work and that…

Pros
  • Complete set
Cons
  • For old

I don't usually write reviews because I just don't have the time, but this time I decided to write. We were very happy with the product when we first received it, but after about a year or less the steam nozzle broke. We were told to send the whole car back to the company for repairs, which we did. They "fixed" it and sent it back to us a few weeks later. After they "fixed" the steam nozzle, it started making a very loud noise when frothing milk, which it didn't froth before shipping. We…
