The design of this sliding spring makes it stand out. With other springs, the bottom nut simply slides into the spring (which may well come loose). This design has a hard bottom with a protruding pin for attachment. Very good construction. On other designs, use a wrench to turn the top nut so you can push the metal standoff into the space between the nut and the faceplate. In my hands, this design was very difficult to install. This bolt spring has a capstan drive where an included lever turns the nut so a pin can be installed to hold it at the correct tension. In my hands it was very easy. Without a doubt I would buy this item again.
