This kit was used to fit the driver's floor mat to a 1999 Honda Accord. Even when new, this rug has never been left in place. Over time and age, slipping and sliding only got worse as the little rubber teeth on the bottom of the mat broke off. This kit is built to last. The instructions are perfect. To secure the anchor, they should stomp the carpet or use a hammer. I used a hammer and a 2 x 2 scrap piece to drive the plastic spikes into the existing carpet. Since the plastic parts are surprisingly strong and not cheap, it gave me the confidence to thrash as hard as I needed to. The plastic screws are strong, you can use a coin to tighten them, but I used a large screwdriver to tighten them nice and tight. It didn't mark or damage the screw slot in any way. Very impressed and happy with this product, just wish I had installed it sooner.
