I've had this system for a few years now and luckily I haven't had to use it in a real emergency but I'm scared if a real emergency ever happens or happened. In theory this is good, but there are 2 major issues with my device; 1) The battery compartment is completely useless. I've tried three times to put the batteries in, but they end up "melting" the battery acid and dying quickly, forcing me to use AC only (not good in the event of a real emergency). 2) The floor sensor needs to be "modified" to work well. It sits squarely on the floor, which is a problem because the floor cools the sensor, causing condensation to collect on the metal sensor, activating the system and shutting off the water. Or the device works because condensation has already formed on the floor. In that regard, I had to come up with rubber legs and attach them to the sensor. Other than that, it's still a good device that's running to this day with manual semi-monthly shutdowns.
