Works well with my water filter system

Works well with my water filter system. Like it a lot . I recently had 2 sensors, one on the water heater and one behind the washing machine. I plan to add more in the kitchen and a fridge.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Almost everything is fine

Just saved me! for safety and security

More than a year ago I installed FloodStop at my dacha for peace of mind since I was away for a long time. I logged in today after a week's absence to find the beep on the block. Upon further inspection, the filter housing in my water system ruptured and FloodStop disabled the main housing, limiting the damage to a small puddle. I can't even begin to think how bad it could have been without installing FloodStop! It worked exactly as advertised.

Pros
  • A sea of positive emotions
Cons
  • Expensive

You could get a discount on home insurance. I have made!

This is a great little device that will work in any home. Some plumbing skills are required, but it's still worth hiring a plumber to install as flooding is a nightmare. I had a stainless steel mesh supply line that leaked and flooded my house and then a cracked air conditioner drain line flooded my foyer before I bought this. I said to myself NO MORE THIS FLOOD! This thing saves lives. My home insurance has cut my annual payment by 100.00. It pays for itself in less than 2 years.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • It's OK

OK but the battery door isn't working/melting batteries

I've had this system for a few years now and luckily I haven't had to use it in a real emergency but I'm scared if a real emergency ever happens or happened. In theory this is good, but there are 2 major issues with my device; 1) The battery compartment is completely useless. I've tried three times to put the batteries in, but they end up "melting" the battery acid and dying quickly, forcing me to use AC only (not good in the event of a real emergency). 2) The floor sensor needs to be…

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Out of fashion

Everything seemed to work fine at first. Ease of installation. However, the engine struggles to rotate the valve. The instructions say to run it monthly for the valve to work, but testing last week made it clear this isn't a product that will last long. It opens fine, but when I click the "Close" button, it doesn't close completely. It's open enough for quite a bit of water to flow through. If you really did water break, it would only reduce your damage, not prevent it. Water flows until you…

Pros
  • This is great
Cons
  • Some bugs

I will not have flooding in my house!

I live in an apartment building. Recently, a neighbor next door was on vacation when a small water pipe burst under his sink. It flooded for several days, damaging two units below. He had home insurance, but exceeded his policy's maximum coverage. His share of the damage is in the tens of thousands. I decided that there must be a technological solution to this problem. And I found it! Luckily, back in 1999, when this house was built, I had installed extra phone/data wiring, so I had extra pairs

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Doubtful

Good leak protection at a very good price

The previous owner never installed a floor drain in the basement with appliances where the well pressure tank was and we had to have some serious filtration due to that he saved money and didn't drill a hole deep enough to get away from a bad upstream. So I was always worried about a big water leak as it has nowhere to go. A bunch of other major plumbing work was done to make room for the softener, so the plumber installed a valve for me. Works very well. Very sensitive, just a drop or even wet

Pros
  • Great for a small house
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly
