Review on Hover Cat Seat Toilet Training by Jennifer Williams

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Excellent learning system. worth your money.

I've been using the hover seat for about four months. yes it is expensive It's also a lot more fun than any other toilet training system currently available. TL;DR: It's cleaner than other systems, better made and easier to use. It also helps my cats complete some of the final steps in their toilet training journey - steps they were unable to complete with the other system I tried. I've tried three toilet training systems including this one. The first, many years ago, was a disposable toilet training system consisting of removable plastic rings that can be cut with scissors and discarded as your cat progresses. It was terrible. My cat hated it and it was impossible to clean up the trash. The second was a fluffy milk machine. This did some of the work as it made my litter friendlier, but it freed up a lot of room for bugs and clutter (if you use it, your cat *will* spill wet, urine/poo-soaked litter all over the seat, you've been sitting, and they *will* *poop on the floor while sitting the wrong way on the toilet seat). Once my cats got used to it, they made no further progress. I couldn't reduce the filler, replace the filler with water, or remove the peel (opening the eau de toilette, etc.). The Hover toilet seat is better made, better designed, cleaner and easier to use. The materials are solid. appear to be durable and do not wear out. They all seem to last a long time. The parts fit together perfectly. Everything snaps into place and stays securely in place so the bowl doesn't wobble or slip. The bowl's flat bottom allows you to scoop cleaner/easier, place it on another surface without the hassle of balancing, and store compactly. There's also very little mess: * The bottom of the bowl stays clean because it's high above the water and the splashes never reach it (washable stray stalactites have collected on the bottom of the bowl) * Cats stay clean in part because their small hands can no water reach (this was a constant problem with the fluffy milk system when I tried to replace the filler). water or lift the bowl tiredly).* You stay clean because the crampons only make contact with the lid.* The bathroom also stays clean because the hover seat somehow prevents accidents. Since I switched to this, not a single cat has peed or pooped outside of the bowl (one keeps peeing in the sink, but that's another issue), and none of them have made the extremely dirty and smelly mistake of standing in the bowl when urination. poops in it. With a fuzzy milk system, my cats have sometimes pooped or peed the wrong way, skipped the toilet, banged on the seat, dropped bombs directly on the bathroom floor, or peed on themselves. Shortly after I started using Hover, I was able to completely remove the fuzzy milk system. I should have started with that instead of spending months on fluffy milk. (Edit to give credit: The fluffy milk system wasn't a waste. It provided an easy transition between the tray and the toilet. Also, it's easier to remove from the toilet than the hover since it's not attached. Its bowl is also bigger, which might help cats not used to peeing in such a small space.)) After nine months of very slow progress, my cats have almost completely gone to the toilet. I believe Hover's place helped them complete the final, most difficult stages of the process. I'll try to remember to update this post with a photo of one of them on the junk. I have a few wishes: 1. I wish the toilet seat itself was a bit thicker and less flexible. It's not flimsy and feels solid, but not as strong as I think. 2. I wish there was a way to seal both the bottom and top of the tray. But these desires do not alter the fact that Hover's is an excellent toilet training system, unrivaled in either the quality of its manufacture or its effectiveness, to my knowledge.
