Works well with some limitations - Rocketek USB 3 4x4 Switch

This review is for the Rocketek 4x4 USB 3 Switch Pros: 1) It's a solid, tiny switch made mostly of aluminum. It works well. 2) If you have less than 4 computers connected, it switches between active ports instead of all ports, which is a plus. 3) It supports USB powered hubs on device ports, allowing you to add more devices. Cons: 1) Tiny LCDs are almost impossible to see. 2) If you want to power this switch, it will be done through one of the ports on the device. This means that you only have…

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Little things

Maybe upgrade to a star soon

From the start the 4th computer could not be connected. One of the ports on the back just doesn't work and I'm using the cables that came with it. Also, when transferring data to a USB flash drive, other devices will stop working until the transfer is complete. This shouldn't happen since I'm also using the power cord. Sometimes there is a long delay when switching between computers. My computer makes a sound when I switch devices, but sometimes I have to switch multiple times for it to work…

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • Volume

Reliable compatibility, no need to drive, plug and play

This USB 3.0 switch makes my job a lot easier. It can support up to 4 computers to share printers, keyboards, mice, printers, USB disks and other devices, and the transmission speed is quite fast, and its compatibility is very strong. It doesn't need a driver, it just plugs in and works. It supports all current computer systems. What is very convenient is that it has push button switches and LED indicators.

Pros
  • I hold my fists
Cons
  • Functionality

Works with Dell USB Dock.

Connected 3 computers, 2 printers, 2 monitors, keyboard, mouse, bluetooth headset. with the Dell USB Dock. The only issue I had was with the Windows 7 drivers for the Dell Dock. Works perfectly! Update: 1 week after button-toggle, mouse and keyboard disconnect and connect intermittently, causing annoying interruption to my work.

Pros
  • Not only useful for the intended purpose
Cons
  • Something is wrong

It seems to work fine on PC. not so much with Macs

The switch works fine with my laptop and desktop, but I couldn't get it to see the MacBook Pro. I use a USBC to USB3 cable and connect it to the IN2 port. The IN1 port is a laptop and is lit normally. The IN3 port is desktop and also lights up well. just doesn't seem to like the Mac.

Pros
  • Regular price
Cons
  • Ok

Works great - KVM switches

I have some 2x4 USB switches. This limits you to 2 input devices with 4 or more USB outputs. I say "bigger" because you can often connect USB hubs to 4 outputs, greatly expanding your outputs. You may be able to chain your switches to allow more than 2 input devices - I've done this and it works great except you have to press more buttons to get the correct source input. I have 3 input devices (2 PCs). and Blu-ray player) with whom I wanted to share a 6-out USB hard drive dock. This 4x4 USB…
