Over the years I have tried many iPod mounts for car air vents. Most of them are of terrible quality, and often the springs end up in the channels when they inevitably break (including my latest Kensington). The springs interfere when pulled out and make noise when released, which is very annoying. There are no feathers in this bad boy! It is GREAT quality and very flexible in its use, you can rotate it 360 degrees, use it upside down or 90 to the side or slide out the side bars or move it up and down and fold in and out the bottom bars at any angle. After all, you could probably use this for just about any small device and not have any recordings in your way at all. In my case, this works GREAT on the iPod classic and iPhone that I use to play music in the car, and works great on my Honda Civic, which has a VERY slanted, odd-shaped vent. The only trick is to make sure you insert the clips all the way in (between the vertical channels) or they won't hook securely. When I found out, he didn't change an iota. Anyway, in the end I couldn't be happier, and the price is ten bucks less than Target, the only other place I've found it. Yes, they are much more expensive than Chinese generics, but they are worth it (Kensington, by the way, is not like that, it is qualitatively very similar to generics, which can be bought much cheaper).
