Review on πŸ”Œ XCSOURCE 5PCS IIC I2C Logic Level Converter Bi-Directional Module: Efficient 5V to 3.3V Conversion TE291 by Ryan Thrasher

Logic level converter but not the circuit in the pictures.

I'm fine with the boards, they will do whatever I need to move my Arduino IoT project forward. The logic level converters I received are not really the same as in the pictures. My schema matches sparkfun's schema, which is good because the product captures Sparkfun's description verbatim. But the pictures on this product show an additional circuit, I assume it's a protection circuit. I don't mind not having it, I really didn't need it and I would have bought it without it, but it was the best price. It's just that when I see a system and pay for it, I'm more likely to assume that's actually what I'm getting. So if I get something with a different schema, that's usually the problem. In this case it doesn't work for me. However, please note that you may or may not receive the additional protection circuitry shown in the images. Some other reviews mention this, but mine definitely doesn't. Just make sure the extra protection circuitry isn't critical to your design. I can't think of any good reason why this would be the case. And frankly, I prefer not to have a protection circuit. I just want others to know that pictures cannot be trusted.
