I have had this fan for 15 months. looked beautiful, moved the air. I sleep with a fan at night so it was only on while I slept. There were cheaper plastic fans from Walmart. They last a couple of years and I chose the metal because it didn't seem to let that much air through. I assumed the plastic allegations had gotten less harsh over the years. (not a fan expert but used this to justify replacing a working fan) This fan just went out in the middle of the night. I plugged it into a different outlet. Nothing. I changed the fuse in the plug. Nothing! The only solution at the moment was the engine. Wasn't worth what I paid! Went back to a cheaper plastic fan for half the price! For that price you can buy 3 plastic and if they last more than 15 months then I'm 3 times better! I'm sorry I made the change, but I won't make the same mistake again. Decided to correct this review so others don't make the same mistake and think it costs money!
