These small compact drives seem to be very durable and after a few months of use I'm happy with the two I bought together. I've bought G-Drives for my Mac/Unix servers in my professional life and they've performed well when properly protected by a surge protector, voltage regulator or battery backup. These particular devices were easy to install on my iMac Pro running macOS Mohave 10.14. My Mac asked if I wanted to use the first drive as Time Machine's automatic backup drive, so all I had to do was click OK. I set up the second drive as a Carbon Copy Cloner drive and set up bootable clones of the entire system on partitions as a second level backup for my iMac Pro and MacBook Pro. Sometimes CCC saves lives. I highly recommend it and these backup discs too.
