I'm quite picky about my outdoor clothing. I sweat a lot and like to keep my clothes in place. I love this jacket. This week I wore it for a run in 37 degrees (Fahrenheit) and moderate wind. Underneath I put on a layer, a long-sleeved Dry-Tech shirt. The jacket kept me warm. I was almost too hot. However, I get hotter than others when I'm active. I think with the right layering on the bottom (long sleeves instead of short sleeves or just a tank top) you can wear this jacket while running and it will be appropriate in temperatures from 28 to 60 degrees. It kept me dry, wicked sweat and withstood moderate winds. Another thing I love about this jacket is how comfortable it is! I received it a size larger than usual after reading other reviews and I'm glad I did. it's slightly longer than the torso, and while it fits snugly, it didn't allow the jacket to ride up onto my torso while running (I think if I hadn't appreciated it, it would have been a different story). The only thing I was a bit disappointed with was that the ventilation in the back didn't help me much. It was better than nothing, but I would have preferred a material that lets more body heat through. I would also like some bright/fluorescent color options. While purple is definitely better for casual wear and many types of exercise, some lighter colors would be good for runners for safety reasons. It seems that such light and comfortable jackets are not enough. If there were fluorescent colors I would buy them all in this jacket. In general very satisfied!
