I'm a self-taught guitarist and have been playing for 30 years. I have bad habits because I never took classes. Well I figured it out, and aside from the fact that most of the songs on RB with professional guitar are the worst songs in the game. Studying was difficult for me. My incorrect hand placement and pickaxe holding technique showed up on this girl! With a real guitar, you can mitigate your shortcomings with skill, "deceptive" hand placement, or poor technique. You can't do that with this guitar. This requires very precise positioning of the hands, fingers and pick. You will learn the correct playing technique for this instrument. I think it's more educational than playing the drums professionally. Worth a very small investment.
