I used this to teach my 8 month old puppy to remember. At first I accidentally let him burn my hand. it was painful, but I realized that it was the problem with my abuse. I've since let it hang and stepped on myself, I really needed my dog to stop anyway. His rating was pretty good and I'm thankful for that because I won't be using this leash again. He punched my niece, my other dog, and the last time I took him to the park, he grabbed my ankle the entire 30 foot sprint, so I'm healing that wound right now. Be seriously careful with them and only use them to give yourself a bit of freedom. I would not recommend it for roaming due to the risk of travel and burns.
