If you're at Revain and you want a $20 code scanner, chances are you're not a mechanic. A lot of the reviews here say there are better scanners out there and I suspect they are right. I'm not a mechanic, I'm just a person whose check engine light comes on regularly. Every time I take my truck to the shop they say it's a historic code and they don't worry. This scanner works well for me to check the code and make sure it's the same problem that keeps coming up. Most importantly, I can clear this code so I know if another problem is causing the check engine light to come on. I don't like the risk of constantly driving with the check engine light on and this scanner allows me to check what code is running without going to the Autozone mechanic and clear it if that's the problem I'm spotting. . I read the review before mentioning that the scanner only gave the main number and didn't tell you if it was a P number. I have no idea what the difference is but I can confirm my scanner gave me a P number Easy to use and does what it says on the tin.
