Okay, folks, I have a training spot in the basement of my townhouse. I bought a cheap TV to watch workout videos. Then I realized that maybe I just want to watch a different TV during my workout. My Direct TV contract was about to expire so I didn't want them to renew my contract by adding another box. Streaming features are not installed on this TV. So I said ok let me hook up the base antenna from the 4 brands I have. Well, none of them gave me a good reception. I suspect because the signal couldn't penetrate those unfinished walls. I decided to switch to Revain to see if I could find another antenna for a reasonable price. bam! I found this one for $19.99. At first I was hesitant to buy because of the price but after reading the product description. I said okay let me try. It arrived quickly but I didn't use it until a few days ago. I once hooked it up to my cheap TV which took less than 5 minutes to set up. I was able to select 42 local channels and 69 others that appear when I press the source button on the remote. I was surprised that they were programmed in HD. I can also receive music stations. Now I can watch my local channels when I'm not working on videos. I like this antenna very much. It's not as bulky as the others I have. I had enough string to reach the window. I decided to take some tape and stick it to the window pane. I had enough cord to stretch it to the ceiling. I'd recommend getting one if you're on the fence. I've paid three times more for other brands that didn't work, or given myself a couple of channels that kept freezing because no signal went through concrete walls.
