I have been using these for many years and in my experience they are the best quality product (they do not crack or break). What is disappointing is the fact that they seem to have changed their product to include neotame and now they taste like you just put 1/2 cup of sugar in your mouth. Nowhere in the description, on the Revain or on the packaging, is there any mention of any flavor! I called the factory and after a while found out they were flavored with neotame which is chemically similar to aspartame. Why? It's floss, not candy! I'm not an alarmist, but if I had a choice, I would stop using chemicals I don't need. And I can't think of any reason to add neotame to floss. Neotame is an artificial sweetener made by NutraSweet that is 7,000 to 13,000 times sweeter than sucrose (table sugar).[1] In the European Union it is known by the number E E961. It is moderately thermally stable, extremely potent, rapidly metabolized, completely eliminated, and does not accumulate in the body.[3]
