Review on πŸš— ACDelco GM 213-279 Crankshaft Position Sensor by Christopher Theriault

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The body of it literally fell apart when I tried to install it.

This is very badly designed. The case is fiberglass, but it's incredibly fragile. I was replacing my harmonic balancer so I decided to replace it while I was there. I removed the old sensor, cleaned the bracket and then tried to put this one on top. But he went a third of the way and got stuck. I spent 10 minutes spreading the jaws of the clamp to remove it and ended up removing the entire clamp. Then I tried to pull it out of the holder. didn't even use enough force to break the branch, and both ears just detached from the sensor. It turns out that the channels that the clamp jaws fit into are actually too narrow for the jaws. This thing was about half a millimeter from a normal sensor. So I cleaned my old one, installed it and it worked. What a waste of time and money.

Cons
