I used to buy and use Powerline TP-Link AV500 gigabit adapters. They worked, but not as fast as advertised. I've never been able to get more than 200Mbps from them. I recently built a new computer and placed it in a bedroom quite a distance from my home office. I decided to try this TP-Link AV1200 Gigabit Poverline Starter Kit, model TL-PA8010. I was pleasantly surprised to get 800-1000Mbps with these adapters. Compared to the ASUS USB-N10 WiFi adapters or NetGear A6100 AC600 WiFi adapters I've tried to connect to my network, the TP-Link adapters are much faster. These adapters are worth the money.
