VELIMAX White Blackout Film 100% Opaque Window Film Opaque Window Vinyl Film Glass Window Safety Film Solar Control Window Film No Adhesive 35.4" x 157.4" So Much Thicker Than I expected, and definitely vinyl. A transparent mesh pattern film is attached to the "window side", which is very convenient but difficult to peel off. It adheres very well to the pane - simply spray some soapy water onto the pane beforehand. After being attached to the window, it can be moved and immediately removed again after a longer stay on the upper floor. It blocks out the light very well. I bought it because my living room gets direct sunlight day and night making it hot and causing a lot of glare on the TV. I put it on all the windows that face the sun and the room is always dark no matter how bright it is outside. The only downside is that it's impossible to get clean edges no matter how sharp your razor is. As I have blinds on all windows it's ok. But if you just want to set it up and completely block all light, that's unlikely. Check out the photos posted by other reviewers, they are very accurate - light always hits (inconsistent and looks pretty bad) no matter what. Although it suits my needs.
