This adapter only supports 1 GbE link ex factory. The instructions on the box say to go to the D-Link support site to download the drivers. There are no drivers on the website. If you chat with a support agent, you will be directed to a site in Taiwan that contains Mac drivers for an older version of macOS. If you install these drivers, add security permissions, and reinstall them, you'll be able to connect with 1GbE only again. Attempting to force a port speed in Network Control before or after installing the driver only results in a list of connection speeds of 10, 100, and 1000, not 2500. Tried on multiple Macs with no success. Buy a Mac-enabled 2.5GbE adapter elsewhere.
