Much stronger and more tamper resistant than a key safe. Is this a real safe with 3" sides etc? No, but for the price it's a really good workaround. I've used it quite a bit in the few weeks I've had it and it's worked flawlessly. No problems. It is very easy to set/reset the code, the override button works as expected.I mounted the device to the wall with 3/8" x 3" screws in a stud on one side of the safe/cabinet and the other two Holes left blank and the back of the cabinet is strong enough to attach securely only 2 of the 4 holes However I did change one thing the colored key fobs provided are fine but not the best quality so I have a spare of Ordered another brand If your keys don't get a lot of use the ones that come with them will work but I expect at least some of my keys get a lot of use and I need something more durable. A small criticism of an otherwise excellent product. I am very happy with this purchase.
