Since my previous e-bike was stolen under guard, I found this alarm a must have. The alarm clock is very effective. There were a few comments about how to charge the alarm clock. I adjusted the screw so that the block cannot simply be thrown away by a thief. Although I have to kneel and squint to see the USB port, I found this method easier than removing the alarm unit to charge. Speaking of charging, the remote uses a #27 battery. This is not a button cell battery and is not widely available. I bought five packs of these batteries for about $5. That confuses me. The alarm is only activated / deactivated via the remote control. There is no obvious warning that the remote control battery is low. What happens if you activate the alarm but the remote control battery is low? Do I need to carry a spare battery so I don't turn the alarm on without there being an obvious way to turn it off?
