Review on ๐ŸŽง Bowers & Wilkins PI3 Gold Wireless Earbuds by Dimitar Moskovsky แ Œ

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The best purchase in my life, I will definitely buy it again.

The headset is not good for group discussions. There are two audio profiles available via the Bluetooth protocol: high-quality one-way sound and low-quality two-way sound. Therefore, an additional microphone is preferable to a wired headset when playing games that involve voice chat (when using a team-speak, the ears switch into a state where even sounds sound nasty, and then back to one-way mode again, each such switch is annoying). You can either hold out for the arrival of bluetooth 6.0 or the day that wifi/airplay 2.0 can replace your current earbuds, but until then, the harsh truths remain. The AptXcomdec delivers high-quality audio under Windows when connected to an Intel audio device. However, Windows' audio can occasionally stutter, especially when loading screens take a while. This is especially true of Windows 7. While I did not experience any of these issues on Mac OS, I did find that the default installation of AptX resulted in sound quality that was inferior to Windows. We tried disabling AptX entirely, increasing the encoding bitrate and the minimum frame rate, and disabling the headset mode; all these changes had no effect; the picture remained the same, and the sound was much flatter than it was on the phone. Perhaps the iMac's adaptor is at fault. Please tell me if you have any idea how to treat. Listening on an iPhone using AACcomdec yields crystal-clear audio with zero background noise. Also, I'm sorry to say that this article will disillusion those of you who believe AptX to be the bestcomdec. AAC is the preferred format for these ears. In general, if you don't know whatcomdec is currently being used, you can mistake AptX for AAC even if you can tell the difference between the two on some tracks but not others.

Pros
  • In terms of sound quality, I'd put it on par with the DT770Pro. There are some excellent "expensive" basses, the guitar, especially the Spanish one, sounds wonderful, and the female vocals are superb. The audio quality has been met with zero criticism. These ears startled me since I know that high-quality sound cannot be sent via Bluetooth, but I have no idea how they do it. It's either the digital signal processor or the digital to analog converter, in my opinion. When I compared it to similar products in the store, I was most let down by the B&O H5, which has sound quality that is likely inferior to that of a conventional wired headset for an iPhone. I bought the pi3 since I've read that its sound quality is unparalleled among wireless headphones. The headband is stretchy and comfortable, making it ideal for use with any wardrobe. Silicone, a durable, versatile, and simple-to-clean material. The buttons could be more responsive, but on the plus side, they are difficult to push by accident. Of course, the joystick is strange, but otherwise, the game functions as advertised. The microphone is extremely sensitiveโ€”perhaps too sensitive. The microphone sensitivity in the windows for conferences was set to 3%; at 50%, the interlocutor could hear staff eating lunch in the next room. Pairs can be managed from a mobile app, allowing you to vape with two devices at once (a computer and a phone, for instance). It's incredibly handy to be able to use a computer as a phone and music player.
Cons
  • The large nozzle is too large, and the medium nozzle is too small; I need a nozzle that fits the ear canal. The ears have a tendency to dislodge; for optimal sound quality, they should fit firmly, however this rarely happens in practice. My wife, who like me has small hearing and always has a hard time picking up nozzles, says it must be in my head. The driver is extremely bulky, and it's even worse on the Pi 4. In contrast to the Pi4, I frequently forget to turn off either the headphones or the playback because I know the batteries will last me the entire day. This is easily remedied by pressing a button on the headband. There are no audio profiles in the app like there are in Pi4; in fact, there is nothing but pairs.
