This is the little plastic tower that sits at the base of your tonearm. When the tonearm reaches your chosen horizontal point on the record, it touches the plastic trigger on the bar. This causes the lever located under the tonearm to move up and lift the tonearm with it. After lifting the tonearm, the lever remains in the rest position. You have to reset it every time you enter it.
