After reading the mixed reviews on this product I decided to take a chance - mainly (well entirely) based on the price. It's just ridiculous that some companies charge for replacement filters. Apparently the business model is the ink cartridges. I manipulated a little, persuaded and shook him - without coercion. It took about 5 minutes and had to be pushed flush before it finally snapped into place. I poured a couple of liters to flush, everything seems fine - there is no leak, the flow is good. Some suggestions: 1. The inlet and outlet pipes need to be properly oriented to match the holes on the refrigerator - they only align in one direction. 2. Mine comes with 2 diff faceplates - use the one that fits your model and line it up so the inlet/outlet pipes match (it would be easy to fit it upside down). 3. Even with everything lined up and aligned properly, it took some wiggling and gradual pushing to get everything into place. So be patient and don't force it. Between the inlet/outlet holes is a plastic flange onto which the refrigerator mounts. The flange for the replacement cartridge is slightly thicker than the original. Perhaps that is why some manipulation is required for the replacement to work. If I run into any issues I will update this review but so far I am very happy with this replacement filter. I would recommend this with caveats/exceptions.
