Unfortunately my other prized grapefruit scoops are gone and I was hoping after reading the reviews about them. I live in Texas and grew up eating our famous Ruby Red Grapefruit, so I had good grapefruit spoons. The good ones cut cleanly into each section with minimal spatter and pull it out instantly. (And no, the spoon that does this isn't sharp enough to cut your mouth eating from it). The spikes here seem to be more in appearance than anything else. I splattered my shirt with grapefruit juice and had to keep digging into the flesh to scrape it off. They were only marginally better than using an ice teaspoon. I rarely make mistakes in Revain reviews, so I rarely give bad reviews, but this time I just didn't get it. I will continue my hunt!
