Doesn't protect the deck.
This is my fire pit with a new rug underneath. I was about to use 2 rugs as a rug when I noticed holes in the other. I bought this rug on December 12, 2020, used it maybe 3-4 times and noticed burn holes in the fire pit today as well as burn marks on the deck. This item is not deck safe.
