I ran this pump a few minutes after it arrived on a flooded patio. Bought specifically because of the auto shut off. The pump actually worked fine pumping water out of my patio. I like hose nozzles. I was able to attach my garden hose quickly. You can also connect larger hoses. Unfortunately, the automatic shutdown does not work. So I'm not in any better shape than I was before I bought it. Too bad :(Update: Had to deduct another star. I sent the above pump back and got a replacement for exactly the same one. The automatic switch worked on this one. But only for a short time. Today is 08/29/2021 and I'm sitting in Yugo-East Louisiana during hurricane ida when i need this pump to run well the auto shut off broke again!so i have to watch the pump every few minutes now turn it on then turn it off again i should have gotten a different pump instead of the same one to replace the pump.
