Review on Gates 31527 Radiator Cap by Daniel Spear

I installed this as part of a coolant flush on my '91 Jeep Cherokee when my old one started cracking the gasket. It fit perfectly and looked just like the one he replaced. But then all my coolant splattered and my engine overheated. I poured water into the cooling system, let it warm up, and it just quickly poured out from under the cap, not getting into the expansion tank. I didn't see anything wrong with it, but it just didn't seal around the radiator neck. I drove to Napa, got another new cap and a few more gallons of coolant and pretty much got the job done again. I ended up getting a refund from Revain for this item, but still spent about $40 on a Napa cover and antifreeze to get my Jeep running again.
