The Good: The stand looks good, takes up minimal desk space and works, was easy to assemble, sturdy and holds my 27" monitor in place. (think of the tripod ball head when you cut off the top 1/8 inch) which has a limited range of motion and feels when compared to the standard 2-axis mounts (up/down, left/right). would it lack stamina, everything else if you adjust your monitor a bit I would expect you to tighten it up quite a bit. The Allen key to tighten it was not included with my stand, the one that came with it was too big. Not really a problem, I grabbed something from my tool kit, but if you don't have a hex kit you might run from the hardware store. It should be fine on a desktop, but it's too much for my 27" screen, which I use on a stand to position it over my laptop's screen. difficult. It doesn't take much effort to tip him forward, he won't be able to do it alone, but a medium sized cat leaning on him from behind will be enough to knock him over. If you plan on using it for portraits, skip it altogether. When I had the monitor in portrait mode, it seemed to me that if I sneezed, it would throw it to the ground.
