Review on ๐Ÿฃ Magicfly Automatic Temperature Controlled Incubator for Hatching by Andrew Kay

Revainrating 3 out of 5

A good model with a large tabletop, but inaccurate readings.

I needed a bigger incubator because 5 duck eggs were thrown after a week of sitting. My current at the time hardly came close to them, and it was almost impossible to turn them around. I went to Revain.com looking for a different but larger model. This one fits the bill, has an automatic turn signal, was in Fahrenheit or Celsius, and has a countdown timer. I couldn't wait for his arrival. I am new to using an incubator, my little one has been in use for a week while waiting for his arrival. Finally the incubator came, it was already assembled, so all I had to do was wipe it clean, connect it, set everything up according to the instructions that came with it. WRONG IDEA! The temperature and humidity recommendations listed are not correct for ducks. This resulted in the death of one of the fertilized egg cells. I had to further investigate the correct settings for ducklings. On the 28th day the eggs haven't hatched, on the 29th, 30th, 31st, 32nd you finally start to hatch. Incorrect temperature and humidity caused exit delays. I'm still waiting for the other 3 (2 pierced). Also, the device kept alarming when the temp went up or down 2 degrees, the alarm could be turned off, but the temp light wouldn't stop flashing until I restarted. Incubator. This happened so often that I contacted the company. They really couldn't help but want me to send a video. If I'm new to incubation I'll try again in a few weeks and see if I get the same issues. Be sure to use an additional temperature and humidity sensor, or even 2, since the device is larger. I'm giving a 3 star rating until I use it again to see how it works again.
