Ignition Distributor GM 4.3 Best in Ignition Parts
It came as promised. The only downside is that there was no gasket at the junction with the block. UPDATED RATING: Installed normally. The check engine light on the new distributor came on. Indicates a defective camshaft position sensor. I'll take the sensor out of the dizziness and see if that fixes it.
- The ignition distributor is the component that transmits voltage from the ignition coil to the spark plugs. The main parts of the distributor are the rotor and the cover. The distributor cap protects the inside of the device and keeps the contacts between the distributor rotor and the spark plug cables. The rotor spins inside the distributor and conducts electricity from the ignition coil to the spark plugs in each engine cylinder.
