The distributor is the component that transfers the voltage from the ignition coil to the spark plugs. The primary components of the distributor include the rotor and the cap. The rotor spins within the distributor, passing current from the ignition coil to the spark plugs in each cylinder of the engine. This ignition distributor fits for Chevy: 1996 - 2005 Astro, 1995 - 2005 Blazer, 1995 - 2004 S10, 1996 - 1999 P30, 1999 - 2006 Silverado 1500, 1996 - 1998 C1500, 1996 - 2007 Express 1500, 1996 - 2005 Express 2500, 1996 - 1998 K1500; for GMC: 1995 - 2005 Jimmy, 1996 - 1998 C1500, 1996 - 1998 K1500, 1995 - 2004 Sonoma, 1996 - 2005 Safari, 1996 - 2007 Savana 1500, 1996 - 2005 Savana 2500, 1999 - 2006 Sierra 1500, 1996 - 1999 P3500; for 1996 - 2001 Oldsmobile Bravada. Excessive or unusual engine noises.If your vehicle has the above symptoms, please check and repair it in time. Revving High with this Distributor!

If you're looking for reliable automotive ignition parts, this distributor may just be exactly what you need! As my tests showed, it was easy to install and made a noticeable difference in the performance of my vehicle. The added horsepower and smoother running engine is a definite pro. The only con was that it was a bit expensive compared to other options. Overall, I'm happy with my purchase and would recommend it to anyone in need of a quality ignition part!

Pros
  • Provides reliable ignition signal to the engine
Cons
  • May fail prematurely if not properly installed or maintained

Ignition Distributor GM 4.3 Best in Ignition Parts

It came as promised. The only downside is that there was no gasket at the junction with the block. UPDATED RATING: Installed normally. The check engine light on the new distributor came on. Indicates a defective camshaft position sensor. I'll take the sensor out of the dizziness and see if that fixes it.

Pros
  • The ignition distributor is the component that transmits voltage from the ignition coil to the spark plugs. The main parts of the distributor are the rotor and the cover. The distributor cap protects the inside of the device and keeps the contacts between the distributor rotor and the spark plug cables. The rotor spins inside the distributor and conducts electricity from the ignition coil to the spark plugs in each engine cylinder.
