I don't know, the problem people had a year or two ago wasn't a problem for me and I just didn't notice or it became fixed between their complaints and my purchase but it was absolutely great. I've had it for almost 10 months now and it's still like new. The keyrings came up, the gate didn't sag or wobble. I use it as a bag strap with a belt loop to hang it on my Swiss Champ so it doesn't slip sideways in my bag but hangs vertically outwards on my leg. I don't need another one yet, but I will buy it when I need it. Update: Second year, it's still as good as the first. I just ordered a few more for my other SAKs. Second year photo, just recently changed the belt loop lanyard to what is in the photo now.
