🔑 Stainless Steel Keychain Carabiner with Gate Guard - TEC Accessories Python Clip Review

In the 2 months it has lasted it is strong but the latch keeps creeping out of the holes rendering the hook useless and obviously unreliable.

I've been using them for a week now and they seem to be holding up well. The wire used for the gate is thinner than other clips of this size (the entire clip is about a quarter long) but the build quality seems good and the shape of the gate looks like it protects the wire from stress. exits.

3 months of use on my keychain, usually alternating 58mm SAK Manager and Leatherman ES4. The small size is great, the spring is nice and firm, and the shape of the gate is such that the item doesn't come loose easily. So far I haven't had any problems loosening the spring or loosening any of it. There are some cosmetic scratches on the case, but I don't mind. This is by far the best key hook of this type that I have tried.

I bought a set of 3 clips and got nice, smooth, strong and well designed clips just like the pictures. They are perfect for lanyards for your expensive knives/tools to carry in your backpack. I immediately reordered. I see some people have received inferior items - I will return mine when I receive them. 3 packages. I bought five more 3 packs. If I get a worse variety again, I send it back immediately.

I've been wearing a few Python clamps since launch and I'm very happy with the original model (brushed stainless steel, rounded edges). I just bought a pair of these clips and they appear to be a newer model (shiny finish, square edges). Two days later, a spring clip popped out of the clamp. Changed twice, crashed twice. I threw it away and will try a second clip when I get home. Very disappointing, especially for a relatively expensive gizmo that used to be worth the money.

I don't know, the problem people had a year or two ago wasn't a problem for me and I just didn't notice or it became fixed between their complaints and my purchase but it was absolutely great. I've had it for almost 10 months now and it's still like new. The keyrings came up, the gate didn't sag or wobble. In mid 2014 I bought my first set of Python clamps directly from the TEC accessories website and was very happy with them. They were easily worthy of a 5 star rating. I use these clips in combination with a hanging clip to carry my keys (on the smart key), a small flashlight, and the Leatherman Squirt multi-tool.
