I chose Kampmate because it is an American company. It's probably still made abroad, but oh well. It is well made and has a good design. I was skeptical that this steel would withstand a hot fire, but my fears were unfounded. Like all box ovens of this type, they warp when hot but return to normal when cold. It's too hard to throw a backpack 50 miles, but it's still fun. I haven't tried it yet, but it will work very well. It is very stable and durable. The Dutch Oven will have no problem with that. Just make sure the oven is on a solid surface. I had trouble removing the top cross pieces after using them and had to pry them out. I'm sure it will loosen up after a few assembly/disassembly. I thought the door might be too big but after using it it's fine. I fed some meaty sticks and a smaller hole wouldn't have worked as well. Excellent oven. 5 stars so far.
