The last metal sharpener I had was fantastic. It lasted years. It was finally time to replace it and I was hoping these would give me the same experience the old one did.The blades don't feel very sharp. In fact, they snag more than cut. Sometimes it's like I'm tightening a screw. I've tried more than one from the bag but eventually, it will snap the tip right out. I lose at least a quarter inch of my colored pencil when this happens because I have to start all over again only to have it snap again. If I find the right angle, pressure and speed of rotation I can sometimes get a good sharp point out of it without ripping the tip out - but it's not as common and outcome as I'd like.
