Wire cutters suck best in building materials

Horizontal stainless steel wire rope railing. Looks great. Create a template for drilling holes. Use a 3/16 bit for the eyebolts and to go through the uprights. Loosen the turnbuckle about 15 turns on each end and pull the cable through the uprights. Pull the cable to the end of the turnbuckle first, then pull the cable taut and cut about 1/2 inch long. Put a solid 1/2 inch in the fitting and swag. Connect with the eyebolt and adjust with the twist buckle. I used a hole punch to cut the cord as their cord cutters are useless and will pinch your hands. I laid almost 1000 meters of cable and am very satisfied with the result.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
