Replace my OSMO with this (and my Pixel)

First I got the first generation OSMO to record our podcasts and travel videos. But to be honest, we started referring to the consumer flip camera because it took so long to set up OSMO every time. I was complaining to a friend that I almost missed my boyfriend's proposal to his girlfriend in Ireland because we couldn't get the OSMO software to sync our phone to the OSMO camera itself via Bluetooth. He was clumsy, annoying, and squeaked constantly, leading to people looking at us like we were doing something despicable. He recommended Hohem (which I had never heard of). I thought it was worth a try for $99. I'm so glad we got it! I've only had it for a week or so, but it's been fun experimenting in our backyard and neighborhood (uploaded the clip just as I was walking down the stairs to giggle. It looks crazy - like I would swimming!) I can't wait to record him hiking and making more scenic videos. Ouch! And when I walk past people with it, I don't get a sideways glance like with the AF-100 or OSMO. I think people just assume we're using a phone with a selfie stick, which is cool (fewer people are looking at the lens and ruining the shot). Somehow it arrived the same day I ordered it - I don't know if that's the case. Thing Revain Prime or specifically from this manufacturer. I feel like this camera and the bag of gelatin I ordered arrived faster than the ambulance in LA haha! It came in a much stronger case than I expected which is great (OSMO came in a cloth pouch so I had to make a case for it). The grammar is wrong, but the gist is clear. That's the only reason I'm giving one star for the quality of the material - it took me a while to read the book because of the grammar. The demo video on the website/product description is actually better than the paper guide that came with it. The package comes with a USB cable which I plugged into my desktop computer for charging (works fine) so I won't worry about that. Purchase a separate cable to connect to the wall. My laptop charges with no problems. I left it overnight so I'm not sure how long it will take to charge. I tried it with my MotoX4 and Pixel 1 with no problems (Pixel 1 are the frames above). I was able to get it working without installing the software. , but to control the zoom and other things you definitely need to install the software. Installed software on Pixel with no problems (haven't tried Moto yet). I'll be using it with my Pixel 3 once I get the hang of it. I was afraid my phone would fall out but no problem so far. I have to resist the temptation to unscrew it by hand and use the actual controls on the handle. It fits comfortably in your hand and can easily be given to a friend/colleague when you need them to take over the shoot. Works by pointing outwards and also in selfie mode. I'm just happy! Considering that not too many years ago you had to buy $80,000 Steadicams to take photos like this, I'm impressed that you can use your better phone and Hohem camera to stroll in style and to speak.” Aaron Sorken. Recordings of walking and talking. Or, more realistically, your selfie videos. :P But seriously, I once met a guy who made steadicams for the Rocky Movie franchise; He walks with a cane and has chronic pain from the equipment. I'm thrilled that technology is moving away from people destroying their bodies to get a smooth shot. I probably wouldn't use it for professional pan/zoom/tilt since the button is there for tweaking your shot rather than modifying it. it is smooth on the fly (no entry/relief feature). But I honestly can't believe how well it stabilizes and how light it is. I was surprised that it also comes with a small tripod that folds neatly. I think I didn't pay attention when I bought it because I can see it in the picture now. It is very good! I hate lugging around another tripod because it doesn't fit in any of my suitcases. It's also removable, but I leave it on because I'm lazy and don't want to lose it. I might buy a few more as gifts as my father in law has the best phone and loves gadgets. . It would probably be overkill for him to shoot a super-smooth video of his drooling grandson or whatever in 4K, but his old co-workers will likely be impressed. :D
