When I was installing a backup camera on my Honda Fit I got to the point where I couldn't connect the RCA connector to the sunroof through the cable hose so I cut it off . To my surprise, the RCA cable was not shielded. Well I brought this cable with me because I put the backup camera on another car and it had a third cable. I also got to the point where the problem was with the RCA connector. I cut it out. This is not a shielded cable. The core consists of three 24 gauge wires, even smaller than the red wire. I cut it so that either end of the RCA connector can be used. The RCA connector itself is weak. When I received it one of the outer rings was bent. I bent it back so easily. Very thin metal. So this is a 24 gauge three conductor cable with inexpensive RCA connectors and a heavier gauge red wire than inside the cable.
