To be honest, there was nothing to complain about. I've had VHS-C tapes in my garage for over a decade. I lost my adapter many, many years ago. I decided to try this. The reviews don't seem bad. An hour after receiving it I put in one of my tapes to see how it would perform after putting in the correct "AA" battery. It worked great. I couldn't believe I was watching a 15 year old video when my kids were little. I was so glad I could keep them. Last night I watched about 10 VHS-C tapes to see what was on it. (forgot to tag them a few years ago). Not once did the adapter fail or ruin any of my tapes. Very, very satisfied. I'm so glad I bought it.
