It seems that many bike alarms look the same, so you need to choose the seller carefully and hope for feedback and luck. At least that's how I felt. Anyway, roll the dice and feel lucky. This alarm appears to be the latest updated version available for sale. The key fob is a little gaudy, but I think the button layout avoids making mistakes when pressing the buttons. The size is ok, actually very acceptable. I used my own zip ties to secure the alarm box to the seatpost in a vertical position. If you do the same, make sure you put the access screw in the bottom so you can remove the case to change the batteries. Otherwise, you will need to remove the zipper strips and repeat the attaching process. But it might not be a bad idea since you will be upgrading that aspect of the mount. Speaking of the locking screw and access to the batteries, I would like to point out that the first attempt to open the case is not easy. Using a "guitar pick" damaged the pick quite badly. In the end, the hull still broke off the ground, but it was a chore. Especially if you try not to break or damage the product. By the way, if the screw is loosened a little, it can be easily unscrewed. Opening the case and removing the plastic tab (which prevents the battery from holding a charge until you install it) was perhaps the most difficult part of installing the product. which is positive. They scan your bike to find the perfect spot. I wouldn't recommend hiding it under the seat as the volume of the alarm can be limited indoors. The Quick Start Guide advises that for optimal protection, the detector should be located in an open area. I tested the device's sensitivity in both vertical and horizontal positions, and horizontal seemed slightly more sensitive. However, for safety and aesthetics, I mounted it vertically. After it was secured with the zip, I used the remote control to activate the alarm. I pushed the bike a little. There is no signal. Moved it a little more and it activated. I didn't change the sensitivity and used the default settings which are presumably set to the most sensitive settings. I could not set the alarm to my selected alarm type. It appears to switch to the next alarm sound once activated. Unfortunately, the accompanying user guide/manual lacks information/instructions. I noticed that changing the sensitivity is a series of button presses, which was too tedious at the moment. I just hope it was indeed set to the default sensitivity mode (again, probably the most sensitive). It was one of the cheapest identical models with Prime shipping. I thought it was a good deal and the alarm clock lived up to my expectations. Photos showing real images are attached, with a ruler for size reference. Also a photo of the alarm attached to the bike seat post in the upright position. Decent alarm clock at a good price. I see this as a moderately high recommendation.
