You really have to know how to use gouache to feel like a good product. I hear a lot of bad reviews from those who firmly believe in "artist quality" but if you use them for odd jobs I find them perfectly acceptable. My clients don't pay for art, so I don't use high quality products for these types of fast food/art buyers. I love the set and I have to admit that it doesn't look like watercolor, but more like oil. , and you'll have a learning curve for those who expect to just dive in if you haven't read how it works first.
