This motion sensor system works like clockwork and has paid for itself after just a few weeks. Not only is it sensitive enough to pick up passing traffic (just a quick adjustment to the direction it was facing, I fixed that issue), but it also catches people and critters sneaking up on my back deck. Lucky for a woman who lives alone on a busy street and in a house with good soundproofing. I can tell if someone is at the door, on the steps, or on the back deck. Let me easily know when the postman brings the package or when someone is about to ring the bell. This gives me time to introduce myself or prepare before I open the door. It also helped me catch the creature rummaging through my trash cans. Caught! Funny story - the neighbor's cat figured out that he could flash the blue light when he walked past the porch sensor and he would probably hear it inside the house too. It turns out that the cat has a sense of humor, as she likes to repeatedly and intentionally activate the sensors. Update: Four months later and this is the best purchase I've made all year! Gives me a great sense of security knowing when someone is around. Haven't changed the batteries yet. Also, mine have withstood the weather and are holding up great, although I've brought them in during some big snowstorms to keep the batteries warm.
