This is by far the best pet product I have ever bought. It only takes a few seconds to attach (the zip) or align and slip into your tote bag. The design is wonderful. I bought a medium for our large 60lb Pit/Golden as it folds in the back of the drawer and doesn't require a 36" length. He loves the box after a few days. I put his old pillow in as a drawer with some toys and treats and he put up with it no problem. Because his old bed is longer than this cage, it slides forward, but our dog stretches out on it, then moves back into the cage while sleeping. Our other travel box is a tarp with a tubular metal frame that broke after a year of frequent travel and was difficult and awkward to lug to hotels and stuff in our car. This new drawer is very slim and flat, and the zip case has a carrying handle like a briefcase. The mesh sides can be rolled up and fastened with Velcro. The curved top has a handle, making the drawer very easy to move when installed. As other reviewers have written, there is a strong smell upon unpacking. To solve this problem, install it, open the sides and place the saucer with baking soda on the bottom of the drawer. Leave it for a day or so and the smell will mostly go away. It smelled like new carpet to me. This cage is NOT designed to hold a dog like a metal cage. It is designed for sleeping, traveling and protecting the dog conveniently. I suspect any determined dog could easily chew through.
