Reviews speak for themselves. 8 cores and 16 threads are great for gaming and multithreaded applications. I overclocked all cores to 5GHz with a manual setting of 1.33V using the Intel Burn Test on "max" test settings. I chose the noctua d15 as the cooler. and with Asus Maximus xi hero motherboard. I want to say this to hopefully help someone, especially if you are using an Asus motherboard and are about to overclock. This should save you from the blue screens and crashes that many people try to overclock this processor. Go into bios and turn off Asus Multi-Core Enhancement. Also in the BIOS turn off XMP then look at the sides of your ram sticks and note the speed/time/voltage of the ram it is running at and manually enter that into the bios to get the speed get what you paid for. If you don't, you'll end up with random blue screens and crashes all the time. I ended up returning a good CPU, motherboard, RAM and RTX 2080ti thinking one of those components wasn't good only to have an issue after getting all the new products back for my build. Doing what I've described will prevent the Asus bios from changing the voltage, time, etc on the fly when it wants to, causing these crashes. This equipment is too good to deal with these problems. Really big fast chip. I hope you like it and I hope I helped you avoid some problems.
