Review on 🔧 Park Tool Headset Mounting Device TNS-1 by Dre Fowler

Thing works great! It's big and heavy, and it's threaded at the top for a good grip on the star nut. Before using this tool, I messed up the star nut by trying to drive it into the steerer tube with a screw, and no matter how careful I was, it still went in crooked. This tool is big and heavy and easy to hit. About 10 good taps are enough to get the torx nut at least 1/2 inch into the steerer tube. It would be nice if it came with instructions, but if it did it would probably cost more. Without a guide it would be very difficult to align the claw. Just use the old stem as a guide and using only about 30% of the stem and attach the bottom stem bolt to the stem. If you don't have an "old" stem, you can use your current stem and it won't be damaged. The inside of the stem may be scratched, but that's about it. I've included a picture to show how to use the stem as a guide.
