Not really 1/4" pins. Too much clearance under the second lip and cotter pin slips into the "loop". Also, it's much larger than it should be The overall length is 1.6375" and the wire diameter is .0935". In comparison, the Home Depot 1/4" Hitch Pin is 1.175" long and has a wire diameter of .0795". ., I would recommend a Granger item #1BBF9 "pin" which is 1.1875 inches long with a .0975 inch wire diameter.
